You can start a new thread on any section by going to the top of the page, and somewhere on the left you'll see New Thread button, click on that, and it'll open up a box where you can put a title for your thread and whatever you you want to put in the box. Very similar to posting.

Re: New members please read

Thanks Claire, what a nice welcome. I am a 62yr. old retired Medical Receptionist (yeah - DRAGON LADY!!) with a resumed hobby of keeping Cavies. I presently have seven - 5 girls and 2 boys along with 4 tortoises, a cat and 2 degus.
When I figure out how I will put up a photo of my piggies and other pets, they are the light of my and my husband's lives and happily take the place of the grandchildren that we haven't been blessed with.
I have kept tortoises for 40plus years so if anyone needs help I hope my experience will be useful.
Likewise I am still learning and will read other posts avidly to gain knowledge.
Regards to all pet lovers.

You've chosen a really great forum to join...this is a amazing place to be for help and advice as well as making some really good frinds, the members on here are some of the most genuine and caring people I have met and they are always there for one another whtever the circumstances and whatever they're doing at the time...if someone is needed there's aways someone there.

So that said, dont be afraid to post, even if not everyone agrees you'll get some good advice and a friend when you need it the most.
Take care and enjoy the forum

Thank you for the welcoming post Clare. I'm fairly new and have met some fantastic and some NOT so fantastic people on board. It's great to meet so many nice peeps, but mainly, share experiences of our furkids, and have some laughter and fun along the way.

Best wishes.

Dobermum

Hi all, I'm another newbie - I don't usually 'do' forums but this one seemed like such a friendly site and there's been some great advice and support so here I am! Looking forward to picking your brains in the near future - my first Maine Coon kitten arrives in two weeks and I'm like a child in a sweet shop!
