Talking Hi there

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd better introduce myself. I am a retired lady who used to run a stud farm where we bred coloured and thoroughbred horses, and I also ran a guest house for 14 years. I love living here in the Oxfordshire countryside and enjoy going to National Hunt race meetings, County shows and generally making the most of the wonderful events there are going on in and around the area.

I am also keen on photography, spending far too much time editing photos on my computer when I should be doing the housework, and in the summer I Judge showing classes at local horse shows.

I have a little JR called Pip who is about 15 years old. He is almost blind, very deaf and suffers occasionally from vestibular syndrome which makes him lose his balance, as if he was drunk. He has learned to cope with it very well and it doesn't scare me as much now, when he has a bad attack, as the vet has explained to me that it is very common in older cats and dogs and nothing to be worried too much about.

Re: Hi there

Thanks for the welcome.

It looks as tho I got off on the wrong foot yesterday on one of the threads about using anti-bark collars!! OMG - some Members certainly know how to twist things, don't they?!!! Oh, well, I shall try and be a bit more tactful in future and tread more carefully.

Regards,

Daphne
