Re: Hello, I new and I need to talk 'bunnies'!!!

Not much but I got a lot of great advice on here about bonding rabbits. Apparently good is putting them in a box together on a bumpy car ride and they will then try to comfort each other

Wow, that's a new idea! Might resort to that. The lady I bought my boy bunny from said you just put them together, they fight a little, the girl bunny wins, they kiss and that's it for life. But I'm not so confident about it.

Er no that way lies injured bunnies. Are they both spayed/neutered? If they're not I would do that first. Completely clean everything in the area to remove the females scent as well

Re: Hello, I new and I need to talk 'bunnies'!!!

Right. Glad I asked. Have a totally new cage ready - other half went mad at expense but it's perfect for them. Harrison has been done. Audrey hasn't. Wasn't planning on getting her done but am now contemplating it due to advice on another bunny thread on petforums. Best to wait till she is done?

The vet says the all-clear for them to start getting together is April 8th. When he first came Audrey seemed to hate him - now when it's her turn to be out she sits by his side, with the bars between them - .
Hope they get on. OH looking forward to there just being one cage in the front room - hardly room for us in there at the mo. Any bonding advice gladly accepted...
bye for now
For bonding, ensure both surfaces are clean and dry and free from dust and grease. For porous surfaces, bond only on one side, allow bonding agent to go tacky before placing together and press firmly for 30 seconds. if non porous apply bonding agent to both sdes. Hope this helps Well, it worked on my vase WELCOME to the madhouse, hope you enjoy your time here

Re: Hello, I new and I need to talk 'bunnies'!!!

Thank you so much for the lovely hellos - I feel so welcome! Bullet, you had me there for a minute. I was thinking,' Are my cages porous or non-porous! Had some lovely bunny time at work, looking at Audrey Rabbit's baby pix and made my first album with more than one photo in it. Here she is very soon after we first got her... the pet shop said she was 4 months old but the vet said she was probably six months old. Mind you, the pet shop also thought she was a boy!
