Temporary Cat Fostering

Hi there!

I am new on this and in desperate need of help/advice.
My partner and I have had some financial problems, and we have a one year old cat called Daisy. We have had to move in with his parents, but they have a puppy and they really can't look after our cat aswell, after much pleading!

I have asked friends and family, they either have 2 cats themselves, or have dogs so nervous about looking after my cat also. I have heard about temporary foster homes. We are hoping to try and save some money and get back on our feet, and estimate we would need somebody to take car of our cat for the rest of the year, until around January we would imagine. Obviously this is the last thing I want to do but I am stuck for ideas.

Does anybody know of anywhere that does temporary fostering for cats? I would imagine animal rescue places don't do this temporarily, but I really don't want to lose my little cat.

I am based in the North East of England and any response will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Katy

It might be worth contacting a few rescue centres, if nothing else they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi there and a warm welcome to pet forums, I'm sorry your joining was because of such sad circumstances...I havent much advice other than trying to find a fostering programme which means you an have your cat back once you're settled but that's complicated I would think.
I hope you find the help you're looking for and stick around here, there's many people who are really friendly and youll make some really good friends
