Re: New Border Collie dad!

Hi all and thanks for the great welcome you have afforded me. Well Mollie has had her second jab now and I am looking forward to taking her out soon. She is growing so quickly. I have attached a few piccies of her that I took when she was still 8 weeks old

Thumbs down Re: New Border Collie dad!

Hi and Congrats on your new puppy !!! Toilet training takes lots of patience and lots and lots of kitchen roll and wipes.
Every time she wakes from a nap take her out, every time she finishes a meal take her out and lots of times in between. She is not going to learn over night......few weeks ahead of you to learn to go out..remember she has a tiny bladder and NEVER scold her for doing it in the house you will only make her anxious as she will not understand. You wouldnt rage at a child for going in its nappy.

As soon as you are safely clear of your jags get her outside and experiencing all you can expose her to. People cars other dogs apparantly the dog you have at SIXTEEN WEEKS is the dog you have for life and very importantly do NOT over exercise. Very harmful to a young dog to do too much and this is a personal thing please do not use a harness......it teaxhes them to pull.

Wishing you lots of happiness with your pup. I have two gorgeous boys Buddy and Bailey and show them to crufts level. They are joy and a delight and i hope your new girl gives you much pleasure
