Springer Spaniel Puppy

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and have just left a message on the "new puppy-help" section.
My partner and I have hod our 7 weeks old puppy for nearly 4 days and have had hardly any sleep.

It would be nice to speak to someone who has had a springer puppy as any tips would be much appreciated.

Kirsty and David

Re: Springer Spaniel Puppy

hi and welcome

pups need time to settle. but have you put a ticking clock and hot water bottle under a blanket, as the pup will be used to the others heart beats and the warmth from the pups.

Re: Springer Spaniel Puppy

Hi and welcome! Where does your puppy go to sleep? Might have a lot to do with it! I've been very lucky with my boy! On his 1st night he was 9wks old when i got him home, i put him to bed and he only cried for about 10mins and that was because i'd forgot to put my tshirt in with him, He had a fleece blanket wrapped around a hot water bottle and once my tshirt was in he was fine!
They like something with your smell on in with them! If your patient with him you will be paid back 10fold!
The people on here are very good for advice and very friendly so once again welcome to the forum!

Re: Springer Spaniel Puppy

I have put one of my tshirts in with her and we have had 2 nights with no whining or crying.
Thank for the tips.

My parents have had a dog while I was growing up but cant remember the puppy stage so its a bit new for me. I know what to do wen she is older just not at this age.
