Hello, I am a 70 yearold widow. At present I have a Tiffany cat and we are great pals and she keeps me company. But she does not make me go out for walks. I miss my little dog greatly. She was the most annoying dog I have ever owned. Yes you guessed it , She was a JRT. She could have yapped for England and won a gold. Trouble was she had never recovered from a very traumatic puppyhood.
I would like to join the chat room here but my main reason for posting this is that I am looking for a dear little dog. She(preferably) would need to be tolerant of a cat who will settle down after an initial hissy fit. And be polite with the grandchildren when they visit occasionally. I do not want a puppy, and am prepared to wait for the right waggy person. The garden is tiny as is the house but it backs onto fields where we can go for walks. To the front of the house is a quiet village street.
Oh andwhile Iam being practical , my son offersa home in the eent of me popping my clogs first.

Hello and welcome. Jack Russells are little characters, aren't they, they were always our family dog when I was a child.

Welcome to the forum. If you know what type of dog you are looking for you could try a specific dog rescue like JRT rescue etc. If you are not after a particular brred you could call one of the rescue locally and maybe they will have a good match for you.
