New to the forum; belive we have adopted a Patterdale
Hi,
A week and a half ago, we adopted a 14 month old puppy from a rescue we belive to be a Patterdale Terrior. They said she was, and most everything I've read about the breed, including UKC description seems to nail her as this breed -- though folks who've never heard of Patterdales (like our vet) keep tring to convince us she's a lab/pit bull (staffordshire terrier) mix -- but she's too small for that and doesn't behave like either of those breeds (rather, she behaves very much as a Patterdale would be expected to behave). Paterdales are an uncommon bread, so I am joining this forum hoping to learn more from other Patterdale owners. We understand that Patterdales are a challenge, and as we won't be using her as working dog, unstatand that we have even more of a challenge ahead of us.

my oh has 2 patterdales they are brilliant but he does work them and they love it they can be a bit headstrong tho as they get older good luck with him many people stop us and ask if hes a lab
