My name is Emily and I am from Stillwater, Oklahoma, US and I am currently going to school for Veterinary Medicine. I also give my time to our local Humane Society. I also am a BIG advocate for spay/neuter and also adoption rather than purchasing because I believe that for every dog/cat whatever you buy, there's 3 more in a shelter awaiting a home.

I have plenty of experience and knowledge when it comes to animals, so hopefully I help someone while I'm here, as well as I hope that someone helps me.

I'd like to introduce my pets:
Ellie(2 years old)-She is a Chihuahua/rat terrier mix, but looks like a tall chihuahua with the personality of a terrier. She's my little darling and I love her so much.

Molly(9 months old)- I purchased her from in front of a local pharmacy for $5. The woman I got her from wanted a pack of cigaretts, so she was selling her for that amount. She said Molly is a Dauchshund/Bulldog mix, but I'm not too sure what she is

Miki(4 years old)-This dog is my mother's Yorkshire Terrier. He's my mom's little "angel" and I will forever disagree.

Sandy(only God knows how old)-Sandy is about a million years old, but still acts like a puppy. We were told that she is a chihuahua/corgi mix.

The cats
Mr.Clooney(about 14 weeks)-This is my absolute 2nd love(after Ellie). He's such a doll. While I was in California this summer for an internship at the San Diego Zoo, I went to a local HS and saw him there. He's a full-blood Birman cat, and is soo pretty. He has quite the personality too!

Stinker(5 years old)-This cat is like my kid. I found her and her litter mates in a trash can. I bottle fed them, raised them, then found them homes. I couldn't let this one go though. BTW, her name is stinker because she has a lot of gas
You say you give your time to the very people who can help your brother's dog. Why havn't you taken him there?confused: Sorry don't no how to put this on the post about the poor dog.

Re: Well, I'm a newbie =]

Jeez this kinda thing does my head in!!!!

Take the dog to the vets... she's obviously in a lot of pain, it could be something very serious, no-one on a forum can advise, she needs to be seen!!!

Surely you know this if you're a trainee vet!!!!
