Re: hi im a newbie from derbyshire

Hi!

I'm a newbie to from Dorset. And I've just got a new pup! A total crazy, ankle biting, chair chewing, peeing on the sofa jack russell/cairn terrier cross. I'm loving every minute!
I'm not a stranger to pups but it's been a while and am always ready to hear any hints and tips.

What are you finding most challenging?

Re: hi im a newbie from derbyshire

What a nightmare!
Does she sleep alone or is she in with you? If she's alone it could be separation anxiety. She's a baby who's probably not had any time alone before and who's just joined a new pack so will want to be with you all the time. Mine cries each time I leave the room so I'm slowly building up alone time for her.
I'm naughty though as I'm allowing her to sleep in my room.
Hope this helps x

Re: hi im a newbie from derbyshire

hi, where are you putting her to sleep, is she crated at night, we had no crying for either of ours, Meg our youngest was crated at night with a hot water bottle to settle her and a cuddle toy for company. Put a blanket over the cage and make it snug for the night she will soon settle, remember she has just lost all her little mates and is probably lonely but it will pass

Hi there Molly, if you go over into the Dog Chat then you can ask your question there and get plenty of help from very experienced members.
I wish you all the luck in finding the answers!
And welcome to Pet Forums!
