hens

hi i am new to keeping hens and would like to ask if anyone knows how soon after rehomming do the hens start laying again these are free range and not ex bat hens thanks in advance andy

Hi welcome to the forum i have kept hens for years i have 2 of them they will lay when they settle down it dose not take them long 2 weeks tops

Hello and welcome!! nice to meet you... bring on double yolkers and yummy yellow yolks!!!

My mum's hens only took a week or so to start laying but then rather quickly went off lay and they kept roosting in trees in the daytime, maybe hers are just exceptionally stupid though!! they must have stolen my stupid tablets!!!lol
