Hi everyone! You really are a friendly bunch!

Yeah, we are thinking about trying crate-training, my boyfriend's keen on the idea, but I am a bit skeptical as to wether it would work or not. She always does it right by the livingroom door within a short period of time of leaving her on her own at night, and at no other time. She's fine during the day, so we aren't ever really there to catch her doing it and correct her.

Still, very early days yet. Plus its a smooth wood floor so its a simple scoop and mop job with no damage done.

I agree! They are one of the best breeds ever if you ask me, just a pity that stupid council estate chavs and wannabe gangstas think they look a bit badass. I used to have a rescue staffie X labrador+who knows who was a darling!

theres nothing wrong in crate training, my rescue lad had to be crate trained or i would not have had a house left ask anyone on here cos i needed advice as i was at my wits ends but was not sending him back and he slepps in there goes in there for time out its a safe place and i supose its is den and is a very happy little man now

crate training is the way to go at night my staffie took to it straight away hes 14 wks and has never pooed in the house or his crate he loves it got him at 8 wks and has held on 8 hrs every nite .where was the crate when i had my last dog good luck
