kittens

hi all am new to this site but would like to share with you all the news that my cat has had kittens she had three in all but sadly one was still born it was so sad but on a brighter note the other two are doing really well but i do have a question.one kitten will lick kitten food off my finger but the other one isnt interested they nearly 4 weeks old should i just leave it or keep trying the kitten who isnt interested thank you

they are still young yet.. keep trying as they should start to show more and more interest over the next week.
I have had bubbas who I struggled to wean.. sardines is a really good one.. to help with weaning.. mashed up with a bit of warm water... maybe some coley fish? Raw chicken mince from pets at home defrosted served raw with boiled water poured over the top..

I have a litter at the moment who weaned themself and started eating solids at 3 weeks old. I have also had litters where I was pulling my hair out as they had not touched anything by 5.5 weeks old.

Best of luck with the bubbas waiting for piccies please

No i wouldnt worry about the little guy...they tend to wean when they are ready and you will probably see a difference over this next week.

im loving the advice on this site.i have 3 four week old kittens,and think its time to start weaning,they are still feeding well from mum,they are very playfull now and can get out of their bed (which is a big storage drawer under our bed!),mum keeps putting them back in there,so is it time to start weaning? all healthy weight.girl has a home when they are ready,2 boys still to find good homes.any advice plz
