Hi all,
I really cannot believe the change in me (or Janet my wife) at 63 years of age we bought a Shih Tzu puppy last September (our first dog ever) not knowing exactly what a huge impact this would have on our lives. We have absolutely taken him in to our lives in so far as we now understand those people who insist that their pets are in fact their children! Although we own a property in Spain we have already missed 2 visits and cannot see ourselves going out there in the forseeable future due to the fact that we do not relish the idea of driving and lets face it, you would'nt go on holiday without one of your children would you - still, no regrets. We have a problem with him which we have posted elsewhere on this forum and any advice/assistance would be much appreciated. I wish you all well (including your pets of course)!......Jim.

It sounds like you've fallen hard for your little guy and that he's being spoiled rotten! Before I had pets I didn't understand how strongly the bond would be - it's amazing.
