Possible fight ?

Hi all. This is my first post on any forum, so please excuse me being somewhat of a noob.
I am a dog walker, looking after a veriety of dogs, from Bichon Frise to Rottweilers.
The situation has arrisen where one of my clients has 2 rotties, one aged 5 (he's huge) and one aged 1. They both get along at the moment. Now the client has brought another dog into the pack, a 9 week old Shar Pei x American Bulldog.
At the time of writing this post, all the dogs are intact.
Please give me any thoughts you have on this situation, as I think there is a possiblity things could get out of hand.
I have recomended the dogs are neutered, and the puppy go to puppy classes.
I look forward to hearing any of your thoughts on this.
Cheers. Dave

Re: Possible fight ?

Why are you recommending action if the dogs are OK atm? Would it not be better to see how things develop? Neutering an anxious dog makes it worse. Neutering a very young dog can cause growth plate problems. So it would make more sense to me to observe and manage the situation at first.
Are you a behaviourist? Have you observed the dogs at home? (Do you have reasons for your advice I mean).

Re: Possible fight ?

Hi. I wasnt recomending neutering an anxous dog, nor the puppy, and I am indeed observing them closley. Bearing in mind I only see them for an hour per day, and was only introduced to the puppy yesterday.
One of the things that I did notice, and would like advice on, is the larger of the rotties growls, and puts the puppies head in his mouth. He will not leave him alone, standing over the top of him all the time. I am not a behavourist, this is why am seeking advice.
