Re: doberman pup wanted

The best place to start when looking for a well bred pup is by contacting breed clubs, or even taking a look at 'champ dogs'.

- Its important to find an ethical breeder that breeds for the correct reasons, from suitable dogs in a responsible manner.

(alot of breeders advertising on the net do not meet any or all of the above!)

The other factor to consider is, breeders have waiting list and therefore you may have to wait for a pup from the correct sort of breeder - that shouldnt put you off, and you certainly shouldnt just buy off anyone simply because they have pups when you are ready to add one.

Re: doberman pup wanted

You've not left yourself much time to find a good breeder of quality puppies. Dobes have some serious health problems you need to try to avoid

Re: doberman pup wanted

Well said Devil-Dogz , But as i understood it Maxwellvalentines post was a last ditch effort and that she had already tried all other routes available, I am 62 yrs young having owned ,loved and respected the dobermann breed for the past 44 yrs, may be i was wrong and being too friendly by offering help.or advice, My dogs have pedigree lines which are second to none so i certainly don't have to resort to chasing wanted adds ... or am i misunderstanding the tone of your post, Maxwellvalentine i am sorry for any embarrassment this may have caused you .
