Hello,
We lost our best m8 back in July, Kim was a Border Collie, I swear I'd never find another dog like her, she never bit never stole food never chewed and only once in her lifetime left a parcel in the kitchen when she was 13 weeks old.
She was 13 in July just gone and it was horrible to see her on the Monday morning after Sunday which she was fine, think she had a stroke sometime on the Sunday evening. Tuesday at the vets I asked for her to be put to sleep as I was heartbroken to see her falling over and her eyes rolling around. Held my best m8 in my arms whilst the vet sent her off to sleep.
Anyway I was really upset the rest of the week and certain things through the day I was expecting to see my m8 coming into see me or arriving home to be greeted with unconditional love. Even today I keep seeing her at my side of the chair. She was truly amazing.
Now I've moved on a bit the last month and cut a long story short I went to Colwyn 2 weeks ago visited a farm and have chose another Border Collie Bitch off a farm. The pup was only 3 weeks old when we viewed her. Today the Farmer sent me a updated picture of Seren and in just 2 weeks the difference wow she looks fantastic.
We go away this Tuesday for 2 weeks and arrive home on the Tuesday and the following Saturday we will be off to Colwyn to pick the new pup up
Now this is how I've come to sign up here on the forum. I can't remember yesterday let alone 13 years ago when I trained Kim....lol.....it's a long time ago now and I'm trying to learn again and think what did I do to make Kim do this that and more.
It might all come back to me when Seren arrives here
Ok this morning I was watching a programme on BBC2 and there was a guy on there using a "Clicker"....I've been reading up here the last 2 hours on topics about training you're Pup with a clicker....just wandering if it's worth me going down that Road and buying one for when the new Pup arrives...any recommendation on a good one as there is many different ones and prices.
Sorry to babble on a bit here, look forward to having a read up on the forum
