Exclamation Newbie in need

Hi there,

I've been a reader for a while but I've signed up today cos I really need your help.

My poor 7 month old kitten, Elbie, had an accident last night and is currently at the vets waiting for her xray so we can tell what is wrong with her and work out a plan for her treatment. She is a smashing little girl, black and white short haired domestic...with the most chilled out temperament of any cat I have ever known.

Amongst my obvious worries as to her well being, another blow this morning was that there was a problem with our insurance policy that we signed up for online and she isn't covered. Now obviously, she is our baby, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure she gets better, but at the same time, these things can end up costing a small fortune.

I wondered if any of you knew about any good emergency cover I could get, I know i will have to pay a premium, but if she ends up needing a lot of treatment...well it will just mean I can afford to say yes to everything the vet needs to do to make her better.

I'm sorry to have jumped in at the deep end with this problem, and i will be posting something of similar subject in the health section of the forum (so please don't be annoyed with me reposting, just in desperate need of advice). I will keep you posted on Elbie's recovery, at the moment the vet thinks she may have a dislocated hip and damage to her bladder poor mite so I may be asking for advice also on how best to care for my little one when she is back at home and we know quite what has happened to her.

Thanks for all your help

Lucy

Can you be a bit more precise about this? All reputable pet insurance companies have immediate accident cover. Which company are you with?
