Id say your first stop should be at the vet..

Get your dog a top to tail check up, find out whats causing the diahorrea and possibly some bloods to see whats making him so tired if not just his physical condition..

I dont know if you have any other pets in the house but be careful if you do because he could have something nasty and give it to them too..

An unsocialised Husky can be a real danger. Be careful. Also, kennel cough will not go away by itself, I would urge you to get antibiotics, and it is very catching, don't let him near other dogs. Good luck.

Re: hello Im a new Husky Owner and I need help

Welcome and well done you for taking him on.

First port of call should be the vet to get the kennel cough treated (and check that it is kennel cough and not lungworm) and to find out what's causing the diarrhea, could be giardia if he was found wandering. A general throurough health check wouldn't go amiss either.

Boiled minced chicken with rice or pasta is easy on the digestive system as is butchers tripe whilst he's ill. Try to feed him little and often and make sure that he doesn't dehydrate.

As he gets stronger tripe is great for putting weight on.

As for him not being very sociable, he's ill at the moment so TBH I don't think that you'll be able to get a clear idea of his personality at this stage. If when he's recovered his strength you feel that he's undersocialised you'll need to start working one to one with a trainer. An untrained undersocialised Husky is, as with any powerful breed, an accident waiting to happen, but for the moment I would be concentrating on his recovery before going further down that route. Good luck with him, I hope he's better soon

You will get a lot more advise if you post this in dog chat or dog health
