Hello from a new LabxSamoyed puppy owner

Hi, My name is Vicki and I am the new owner along with my boyfriend of a 3 1/2 month old puppy who is called Bebhinn who I think is my profile picture now. But I will try to attach a photo. She is a cross between a Lab and a Samoyed.
I am finding it quite hard at the moment - it's almost been a week. I knew it would be hard work, but not as much work as it is!
Anyway, I am finding the forum really useful to both post and read all the other threads, so thank you very much everyone!

Re: Hello from a new LabxSamoyed puppy owner

Welcome - I am relatively new here too and in week 5 with my new puppy Luther, although the rate he is growing is scary! It is hard work but there are really rewarding days amongst the ' I am going to give the tinker back' days
I have found the best thing I did was to agree the approach with my husband, the commands, the boundaries and for us to be both consistent. He is house-trained now (dog that is not OH), is doing well on the commands and I am finally getting somewhere with the 'puppy nipping' which is pretty painful from a 13 wk Doberman
Wish he would concentrate more at his puppy classes - he is great when we are working with commands, but gets incredibly bored when waiting for others...bored means cause chaos

Your LabxSamoyed looks totally adorable
