Introducing....Susan & Hector
Hi,
I'm 6 weeks into life with a 6 year old rescue dog called Hector who's a collie x lab. He's settled in really well, although I did need input from a great local dog trainer to get me started as a first time pet owner. Our main problem at the moment is his love of totally ignoring me/my husband on the beach at the end of the road and running home on his own across a road, it's all rather scary. Walks are on a long lead at the moment and his recall is improving. A major development yesterday was a walk through the wood off the lead with fabulous recall and doggy-ness. Bit by bit... I'm looking forward to learning more about dogs and being a dog "person" from the forum & members. Susan
