Proud owner of a Great Dane......

Hi,

I am new to the forum, and I recently became the proud owner of a Great Dane !!

Can anybody give me some advice/tips on how to house train the dane ?

When I take him out,he will pooh but will not wee! As soon as we are back into the house,he will dart off and pee anywhere he can!

Looking forward to any sensible advice!!

Cheers............

Re: Proud owner of a Great Dane......

Hi newbie!
What a lovely looking pup!
I had a Great Dane once upon a time. Extremely inteligent she was. She used to try and talk to me, we'd have conversations for hours!
Im afraid I dont know much about training them though as ours was adult when we got her from a rescue and knew pretty much everything.
Hope it goes well tho.

Re: Proud owner of a Great Dane......

hi and welcome to the forum
when you come back from your walks why dont you take him straight into the garden and keep saying wee's then when his done one, make the biggest fuss of him saying goodboy and even give him a treat.
do the same when yur out as well tell him go wee
he will get the idea might take time but your get there.

i bet his a beuti
look forward to seeing some pic's of him.
