Foxhound and Lab owner - new member
Hi I'm on here to get and give advice, in particular anything to do with Foxhounds, Labradors and the BARF diet.
I go to training with my dogs and would love to speak to anyone who can give any advice on the BARF diet / raw food, diet plans etc.

Welcome,I have a 2 year old Foxhound,he is a cross between an English & Welsh Foxhound.

I think there is only one other Foxhound owner on here.

I do feed mine about 80% raw,but must admit I don't know a whole lot about it,but Craven does seem to like it.

I would love to see a photo of your hound and the Lab of course.

Hi from the other Foxhound owner

Peggy is 10 months old. We don't feed her raw but have been thinking about it. She currently has a mix of Wainwright's wet and Fishmongers dry.

Would love to see photos of your dogs as well!

hello im welfare coordinator for foxhound welfare uk, i feed my guys dried food once a week they get a big pan of stew and then one day of rest, feeding a barf diet to a foxhound will not make much difference to him (they enjoy food normally reguardless of what it is,) i have tried my border collies on the raw diet on the advise of a behavuiorest i once got in but did not see much difference, feeding bones is ment to slow up a dogs eating pace, as it takes them longer to get in ate, other rule i remember is veg is to losen stools and bones to firm them up, raw diets i think should be really everything stomachs ect as a wild dog would eat all this but us humans seem to only give our pets mince chicken lamb all meat pieces never a hole animal, so please be careful and read the books out there and maybe have a word with your vet before starting them on the food completely.
