BTW Carol we recently adopted Dash and I have not had a male before I have herd that they can be head strong and he is, both of my Dals are from Dalmatian Adoption and Rescue and I was wondering if you may have some tips on male dals? I would appreciate any help.
He is pretty good he has some baggage from his last environment he is very fearful and but also very dominate if that makes sense.
I am putting this out to anyone that may have an answer on this one. I am doing alot of long walks and using a back pack to give him an extra workout. I got this idea from the Dog Whisperer ( Cesar Millan ).
Thanks

hi they are so sweet and yes loe carol does love them
do you know anything about his back ground ? it does help.
male and some females can be head stronge thats what i like about them
you have to be stronger than them,
make them do what you tell them with treats and training lots of training.
he will get there and also make sure he knows when his in the wrong you will have to be more dominate than he is.
on the odd times 1 of mine might not do what i tell him but i make him he might grumble and groan but i found to put him in his place,
i did rescue a dog that was over dominate in the end i had to put him on the floor and nearly sit on him to make it go into his head i was boss, [but this is not very often you get one like that he was just left to do what he wanted to do by his other owners] but after 6months he was a very different dog with lots of training which started from the beinging and found him a home with person who had dallies before.
it took 2 years for 1 of mine to decide to do something i was asking him then it click in one day oh ok i'll do it lol
with the fearful be carefull you can push them to much just take it easy with what you want him to do lots of good boys and treats when him done it right. and lots of runs like you said.
