A small tip. If you have a freebie pet insurance with the puppy (most good breeders give you a 4 week freebie from Pet Plan or Kennel Club) and you aren't going to stay with the same company then make sure you take out a new insurance 2 weeks before your freebie runs out. That way you'll be covered continuously. Otherwise you'll find the new policy will exclude anything in the first 14 days and there will be a gap that you'll have to pay for should anything happen.
However, I hope you'll never need insurance and that the puppy (and you) have a great time.
