Good morning!
Hello all, I was referred here by a member of another forum, so before I go posting anywhere else I thought I'd better introduce myself.
My real name is Judy, and I live in semi-rural Derbyshire with three cats called Spider, Marble and Arnie, and one new addition - a curly-haired tarantula called Fluff! Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but I think she's gorgeous and I love them all! Spider, my oldest cat, is eleven years old now and has, in his eventful life; fallen off the cutarin pelmet at the age of twelve weeks and broken his rear left leg (healed up fine); been shot with an airgun twice (the second shot was serious - he lost a kidney, part of his liver and part of his intestine after that, it was evry touch and go for a while as to whether he'd make it), and been run over by a car, we think, (not sure, but it's the only explanation that fit) and had to have his long, fluffy tail amputated. Thankfully, my little girl Marble and my youngest boy Arnie haven't had anywhere near the adventures that Spider's been through in his life, yet he is the most laid-back, friendliest cat I've ever known. He is actively interested in people and loves laps - even if the owner of said lap doesn't love cats! For a while after my partner and I moved here, Spider was also off visiting one of the "local" pubs (it was over a mile away) and he got into the local paper - however, since he's found a lady nearby who feeds all the local strays, he's decided to hang around in our village a bit more. ![]() Oh dear, I seem to have gone on a bit, I'm like that I'm afraid. I suppose I'd better add a little bit about me too! I'm 35, paint bouncy castles for a day job, and am an artist. I'll post pics of my work when and where it''s allowed, once I've felt my way around here a bit, so I shall stop typing now and go mooch around in the forums for a bit. ![]() |
