With mine the breeder said the mother wouldn't spend anytime with them and when they went near her she kept moving away so the breeder said she felt that it was the right time for them. (she was going to keep them till 8 weeks but because of Mum decided to let them go early as they were doing well on their own)
The point of them staying "with mum" until 7-9 weeks isn't to do with mum but being with their litter mates. They can learn so much from playing with their litter mates during a week that it can be very detrimental to take them away too early, especially if they are going to a new home with no other dogs.

Hi poor thing. My Puppy was just over 6 weeks old when I got her. She loves ready brek so i would try yours with this. Make sure its Goats milk you use as heard they shouldnt have cows milk. Mine also loves puppy pedigree pouches.

Let us know how she gets on.

Picture as well would be great.

Re: german sheperd puppy

I have dry food for mine to the breeder told me to add some warm water to soffen it and warm it up for her. Try that it may work.

Don't worry mine was a little fussy on the first few days. I put some on my finger and put it near her mouth to get the taste then she ate it herself.

Good luck.

the problem you may now get is biting as the little mite has no idea what hurts this he would of learnt left with his siblings without to much input from mum you will need to watch this as he wont grow out of it just hurt more

Invest in a tin of LACTOL by SHIRLEYS mix it with oatibix or gluten free ready brek dont give her cows milk or gluten you coul end up with a colon problem mush up some chicken and rice then mix gluten free gravy with it as she starts to eat it with enthusiasim and she has doubled her arrival weight mix the dog food you plan to feed her into it

DO NOT SWAP AND CHANGE HER FOOD ON A DAY BY DAY BASIS IT WILL MAKE HER ILL

Im not shouting at you but the breeder should be hung up for selling neglected 6week old pups in poor condition its most likely that the bitch is used to all sorts of extra supplements through welping the breeders cut out because of money

good luck keep usposted on how she does

Think she as learnt that lesson when she goes to bite my cats tail
My cat is good with her though and as only tapped her if she as got to rough.
They are never left alone and I sit with them when they play.
Thanks though for your advice I will look out for it but up to now not had any problems.
