Newbie wannabe dog owner

Hello All, i am new to this site, and wanted to join as i am currently in search for a puppy probably next year. I currently have one black and white cat called Mitzi. If anyone can give me any puppy buying advice and knows of anyone reputable in the middlesex area i would appreciate it. I had a bad experience earlier this year when i purchased a puppy which sadly passed away three days later (long story). Next time, i want to make sure i get one from somewhere which has been recommended. Thanks, and i look forward from hearing from you all......

Re: Newbie wannabe dog owner

Hello and welcome...
It's sad that you had such a bad experience with a puppy...if you think what sort of activities that you'd like to do with your dog, and the sort of lifestyle that you lead, I'm sure there are loads of people here who could help you in your search...
There are loads of things to consider from temperament and exercise to coat care, size...and once you have an idea of what sort of canine pal you're looking for you can narrow it down to types/breeds etc, and make a decision on whether a puppy or adult/rescue dog would suit you best. Once we know all of those things, there are lots of people on the dog forum who'd be able to help you with your search for a new friend!
