hello and welcome to the forum. please don't adopt only one, rats are very social creatures and need at least one of the company of their own kind!

hilary bradshaw, yes, I think if I get a rat, I will try to get two females. I thought I might have enough time for one rat, etc. but the last time I got one, Eddie, after a few months I bought another two, because even though I was playing and being with him a lot, it is actually better if they have company, that's true. thank You ; )
