Alo Alo
Alo, just thought i'd say hello. Just got myself an American Akita 3wks ago (initially thought he was a Japanese but the eyes have gave him away
 ) He's now 11wks old and chews absolutely everything in sight including having a taste for the stones out the back  . Read up on them for months before i got him and looked hard to find one with a good tempered parents. Decided i needed a bit more help though so here I am and found a couple of useful threads already.  Couple of pics of (Hachi)Roku.

Hi!
Welcome to the forum.. Your dog is adorable! I love the first picture, even though it's a bit fuzzy... it's gorgeous, you can really see the expression on his face! Other pics are lovely too xx

Hi and welcome.... Roku is gorgeous..... a big bundle of fluff.... and teeth eh.... I am used to having GDS and Malamutes which people often call Akita ........ and am soon to have my very first ever small dog..... Good luck with the training and lots and lots of socialising etc..... we want to stop these poor dogs from always getting bad write ups.... If only the news announced every time a golden retriever or labrador bit a child.... it would be never ending ?.... Have fun with your pup.... Pamx

thanks folks. He's one hell of a pup, he'll be a biggun alright! Yoda pictures hilarious! will get clearer one's in the future no doubt. Makes me laugh every time i look at it
.To true Pam. I leave him with the folks while i'm at work and before i got him they were slightly worried due to stories they've heard. took hours to educate them about them. People see what they want to, so easy to pass the buck. Main thing is - it isnt the dog's, its down to the owner to train them right. Never mind a dangerous dogs, how about a dangerous trainers list? Ah - i could rant all day about it. Ps those three look very well behaved, bribery?? lol. Mal's are a lovely dog! friend of Friend has one, friendliest dog i've ever met! Celicababe - do you drive one? If so i hope its a gt4 :-P

AAAHHHHH beautiful bear!! not that i am biast in any way but Akitas are amazing!!!!! i have 2, Mitch is 2 and a big gentle giant and Evo is 13 weeks and adorable, they are the best behaved dogs, not bothered by anything or anyone
