Have you started a training programme yet?Look into getting some one on one training so he gets the idea of focusing on you-which can be very hard for the Beagle.Puppy classes are great as they get the socialization, yet people tend to think if they do the puppy classes their dog will be trained.Wrong!Training should be a lifetime commitment, especially for a Beagle or he will develop all sorts of behaviour problems. You can incorperate your daily routine with Marley by training 5-10min sessions at a time for his age but your trainer will tell you all this.Because they are a scent hound they need a lot of exercise and as he grows you increase your walks,runs,training..etc.He may seem tired after running in the yard, yet it wont last.Soon he will get up and hes rejuvinated so dont think hes tired. He must expend his energy through mind and body or you will end up with a very destructive, dominant dog with many behaviour problems.Seriously look into some professional training and be patient and consistant. You are brave going with a beagle but they can be a lovely dog with your guidance and training.Keep me posted.Im a trainer and very interested in your progress.
