all I am new to this site so thought I would drop you all a line to say hi and also ask if anyone can help!!

My mum lost her cat a while ago and she has wanted to get a little kitten, she lives alone and does not get out much so it would be great company for her, she has got a really nice clean home with front and back gardens, and she could offer a forever kind loving home.

So anyway I am looking to suprise her by getting her a kitten, but so far I have not has much luck, I don't have a great deal of money so something around £30 would be great cheaper would be even better, I am not looking for anything flashy just your normal little moggie.

I HAVE BEEN ON ALL THE DIFFERENT SITES AND NOTHING!!

I called a guy last night and he told me that he had kittens £25 and that they would be ready saturday and to call him friday only for him to then call me back and say he had one dark one left and I said fine, he then called back saying he had sold them all for £50 each and that he was sorry, people seem to be more interested in the highest bidders rather than what homes they are going to.

Anyway if anyone can help me then that would be great I am in the sw london area but I am willing to travel within reason.

Hi welcome to the forum. I think you will struggle to get a kitten for less than £50, thats how much they charge around here too. Most of the farmers used to give kittens away, but for the most part that has changed. Good luck in your search.

Thanks all for your welcomes and everything, as for the kitten situation I have found a kitten but it's complicated if you want to find out what's happend I have posted thread in cat chat under (WHY AM I SUCH A PUSHOVER) for those of you that are interested. x
