Hi to all Dog & Horse rescuers in Devon

Anyone with a rescue / rehomed / rehabilitated dog or horse in Devon (or nearby) might be interested in our special show in aid of the Brooke Hospital for Animals (which cares for working equines in the poorest parts of the world).
On 10th August we're holding our third Rescue Horse & Dog Show at Knightshayes Court, Tiverton. We have lots of rescue charities represented, we have a parade of rescue animals with a commentary to tell their sad/happy stories, there are classes for rescue horses, rescue dogs and other dogs too.
Also an equine car boot sale, food, wine, pony rides, fabulous raffle (win a trip to London Fashion Week or a Kiefer saddle!!) etc etc. It's a lovely day out for animal lovers of all ages. Horses must be entered in advance, but dogs can just show up on the day (with their owners in tow!).
If you'd like to know more I can email out a schedule to you. Hope to find plenty of sympathetic animal lovers through this site!!!
Thanks for reading all this everyone.

Hi there. The Brooke HQ does have a website - The Brooke - Home Page - it's well worth visiting to see what the money we raise gets spent on, and (though I loathe Tescos) every little bit really does help. Our show is mentioned briefly somewhere on that website, though we are just fundraisers in the Devon region. This is our main event for the year, and we aim to act as a forum for local charities - giving the smaller ones some publicity, as well as raising money for the Brooke. It's a unique event I think that works on many levels - as well as being a great day out! If you come to it - let me know what you think - we're always learning.

Yup, I live near Black Dog! I have three dogs, none of them black, apart from the collie who's half black I suppose. Where are you?
