He feeds the big black slugs that go into the Garden..so why not up the stakes and have a pet snail....I will be taking it on a 5hr train journey....Couldn't post it as it is quite big and I would have nightmares about the poor thing getting lost hahahahahaha....yeah I know!!!

I have got everything for his Snail to go into and a suitable travel box for it..so watch this space...he does not know that he is getting it

Sounds like you Dad'll be in for a bit of a surprise! Hope it's a nice one You don't want pore snaily to have to come back on the train for another 5 hours!

Do you think it might be an idea to give your Dad too, though? Whilst it's not a great idea to emulate my example and crowd snails together, they do like their company and get very lonely. I had a very elderly snail of 8 who's companion had just died, and she stopped eating very shortly afterwards. When i got her a little friend a week later, she started eating a bit! She only lived for a couple of months after that, but she definitely improved a bit, dispite her age and illness, when there was somebody to keep her company.

Hi

Nice to see you back on here and letting us all know that your Snails are in good health
Well done for tackleing a horrid job which had to be done, checking ooooo!

Yes, your point about two snails is a valid one....and I did consider whether to take down two....but decided against it. I do have one Snail out of all of them that is a bit of a loner and sits on his/her own and really does not mingle with the other three that he/she shares a tank with.
However, if it turns out that the Snail is lonely, then I will go back down with another....not a prob....

Jingle Bells.
