So how many of you guys keep land hermit crabs? and how many have you got? and how long have you had them?

I've got 26 of them, 18 of them i've had for a year this month.

Nobody else has crabs then?

hmmm... i haven't seen crab as a pet.. but its kinda unique..

I love Hermit crabs & I must admit until I had seen some at a gardencentre/pet dept I never realised that there were land Hermit Crabs.

What a fabulous pet, are they relatively easy to look after & do you need specialist equiptment? What do they eat?

Sungold-Bengals, they are fantastic pets, and once you have the set up they are quite easy to keep, they eat almost anything, fruit, meat, veg, shell fish, peanut butter, all sorts.

You need a tank, heat pads, sand, drinking water and salt water, lots of things for them to climb on, hiding places. ligting.

Peanut butter - wont ask how you discovered that!
