Hi All

My pet GAL Norman has a cracked shell will this heal by itself in time or will he always have a crack??

Apparently if you provide it with some calcium, from cuttlefish or crushed egg shells it will repair the shell.

if its not too bad it will repair it itself. One of mine is forever cracking his shell. I don't know how he does it! But they will heal. However after a bit of growth you may notice a dent or uneven patch. Mine is now so lumpy you can hardly tell he's a snail.

It should repair itself, you can give him some eggshell or calcium powder from the petshop sprinkled on his food for extra calcium. i avoid cuttlefish bones they tend to contain salt.

Your GALS shell will probably be a bit uneven after its repaired itself but it wont do him any harm.
