Question Posting GALS

Hello all

I have 2 adult GALS that decided to sneakily breed and currently have around 20 (that I can actually see and count ) babies in a nursery tank.

I'm going to find good homes for them (probably via this forum if I can) and will almost certainly have to post them.

I'm a bit nervous as I don't want them hurt or traumatised. Can anyone who has done this give me some advice on what to put them in to post, and what to put in with them?

Also, if anyone is interested in one or more when the're a little bigger please say

Re: Posting GALS

i sold some on ebay, I used the chinese pots, small amount of bubble wrap around the edges when sealed, (i put holes in the tub btw) lots of soil, bit a cuttle fish, some cucumber, and kitchen roll on top of them just as a cushion from the lid.
Then wrapped i one layer of brown paper and sent special or 1st class recorded but only mon-wed as i didnt want to risk them staying in the sorting office over a weekend

You can still freeze them if you have the heart when they hatch, i never could do it once the hatched but now i am extra vigilant on the egg looking out bit of keeping these snails lol

Re: Posting GALS

Thanks Daynna that's really helpful

Yes, not long after I found these ready-hatched bubs coming to the surface, Stewie got busy laying another batch of 50 or so. But because I found these at newly lain stage I froze them. Mind you I was crying my eyes out the whole time

How many would you like? And how big would you like them to get first?
