Pet Insects

Here are two of the best places to get pet insects from (they are delivered to your door). For stick insects, go to Small-Life Supplies for stick insects and cages and they also supply butterflies for release into your garden. For tropical caterpillars go to Lepidoptera Breeders Association - Supporting Moth and Butterfly captive breeding programmes There is also a forum on the lba site for people who keep caterpillars, butterflies and moths as pets.

the feed usually depends on the stick insect that you get. most of them will eat bramble, privet, oak leaves, rose bush and much more.

if you told me the type of stick insect that you are after then i can give you more information.

they will need a large container, with good ventilation, some need to have a heat mat also, and they will need to be misted with fresh water twice daily. but this also depends on the type of stick inesct.

Hi BunnyBoo
If you go to the Small-Life website they have a caresheet all about stick insects that tells you what you need to know. Just look at the "useful advice" section of Small-Life Supplies for stick insects and cages And they're having an Open Day next weekend !
