Snails

Hello I am knew to the forum.I have a question about land snails.Does anyone know what the different species of land snails look like.If so How do you know what kind they are[picture posted] and will springtails hurt the snails if you put them in the tank to clean up debris from the snails? thanks for the help.

Welcome to pf!

I'm not an expert in snails, but the very obvious lines on the shells leads me to believe that they look like Roman Snails. How big are they? Roman Snails can grow quite large, larger than the Brown Garden Snail. You might need a second opinion as if they are Roman Snails, they are rare in the UK so have legal protection - so best to release them back into the wild if the species is confirmed.

Had a quick search, and it seems that Springtails are completely harmless to snails
