I also keep banded snails! I feed mine on Weetabix and eggshells (for calcium). I wouldn't recommend lettuce. Mine are active and like to climb and rest under the lid. I have a soft Liner at the bottom , a bit of moss and of course a shallow Water Dish so they can have a drink.

The problem with lectuce is it has very little nutritional value, ( unless you use the more calcium rich varieties such as chinese leaf ), and you should also feed them other vegetables too. It's not that you shouldn't feed them lectuce, it's more that you shouldn't give it to them as a staple diet.
Don't forget to give them cuttlefish for their shells. |
