She didnt want to get going half the time and when she did she kept cutting off half the school. my legs arent nearly as strong as what they used to be! im aching like mad today! cant wait to go again though!

Re: Riding

Yep know how that feels, but it get better after a few rides I promise. I have the problem that my left leg isn't as strong as my right, so if anyone has any tips on how to strengthen 1 leg, all suggestions welcome, he he.

Hope you stick at it, it'll be well worth it but I'm sure you know that

No doubt you did the sensible thing and went to a riding centre. The horse was carefully chosen to be safe for you to mount up on. Your legs are weak, your hips are weak, your thighs are weak. You'll have trouble sitting up straight. You need to get those muscles back in shape.
Look around locally and see if you can find a good Pilates instructor.
Pilates is all about inner core muscles - those that you need to ride.

It is the horse that will get you back in shape. If you persist and get to ride once a week - it will all come back.

Enjoy - it is fun and good for you
