I'd love to start riding again..

I live in Dumfries.. Does anyone live near me??!

My friend was looking after a horse and we were riding him, but it turns out he had a sore bit on his back and hated any pressure on him So now hes retired and only gets walked on the leadrope.

I have been riding since I was 2, I also used to ride a friends horse when I was at highschool.. but I haven't been for a while as theres not many places near me.

I think I have lost my confidence a bit, so i don't really want to go and ride with a group of people.

Ideally I'd love to be able to look after someones horse, ie mucking out, grooming etc in exchange for a few refresher lessons and maybe a few rides.

Does anyone know if any horsey people live near enough to me? x

Hi, sorry I don't live anywhere near you but just wanted to say I hope you do find someone that can offer you some horsey time.
I was once in the same situation as you. I was having weekly lessons and found a week was just too long to wait - I know how you feel!!
