Re: learning to ride

Dont worry about the size of the horse big ones are much more comfortable and easier to ride

Some people find it easy and some have to work a little bit harder, If you have good balance, co-ordination and relatively fit it shouldnt be too dificult to master the basics

Dont worry though just go along and enjoy it, your first canter will be amazing and be ready for a smile that stretches from ear to ear

Re: learning to ride

my balance is good, but my coordination is rubbish as im dyslexic and id say my fitness is average. im extremely nervous as i get nervous around horses but i have always wanted to do it so im making myself do it because its something i know i will love once i get the hang of it

Re: learning to ride

Don't woory. learning to ridi can be difficult, but it have not to be. And like sharon_gurney already had said, often the big horses are bether to learn riding as the small ones. You only have to be not worried.
But you should have a good ridingteacher. With a bad one you will have to need lots more time like with a good one. And I'm speaking from one's own experience. So if you have got a good teacher and a little bit self-awareness everything will be perfect. So don't worry!
