BHS Stage 1 query
Hi everyone.
I'm booked in to do my BHS Stage 1 exam and am need of a little advice. I have the books, have carried out a training course, crammed my brain with just about as much stuff as I can remember... but I'm a little bit unsure on clothing. The BHS have changed their guidelines for Stage 1: https://www.bhs.org.uk/Training_and_...ress_Code.aspx I've never done any shows so have never needed to purchase and competition wear. It's a lot of money to fork out for a hacking jacket just for the 1 day and I can see that they state you can now wear a v-neck sweater. I'm also a bit of an odd shape and when I wear any sort of fitted jacket I look like a kid trying on their parent's clothes! I realise it's a minor side of the exam but I think it's important to feel comfortable on the day, and let the nerves concentrate on the important stuff!! I just wanted to know if anyone else has done the exam, what they wore and whether they feel this "outfit choice" might hinder my chances of a pass. Any advice is appreicated. Many thanks from a nervous novice ![]() |
