I got a cob who doesn't trot but has a few problems!

hey all,

I have this cob on loan called bobby and he is chestnut. he is 15hh and he is around 12 years old. he doesnt trot unless i really have to tell him
. he has really bad feet as i am waiting for my farrier to come. so he might just need to have his feet sorted out. i will let you know once everything is done i just need a bit of advice on what else to try with him

thanks

it may hurt him to trot if he needs his feet doing, when they are done theres a good chance he'll trot for you.

He's obviously in pain with his feet.. what exactly is wrong with them?

I wouldnt even ride him until his feet are sorted out

hey all, i got his feet sorted out and now hes like wanting to trot everywhere, i think hes glad that he can trot. he wasnt lame his feet were just really bad, his back ones was the worst as he was pigeon toed which made the insides of his feet go really long. his old owner told me that he hadnt had his feet done for at least 5 months. now its all sorted out

thanks
