Might be worth investing in a grazing muzzle for him? That way he can enjoying being out with his pals, still get the exercise running around in the field with them but not over eat on the yummy spring grass? He's a very pretty pony, hopefully your sister will get more confident and she can try some local shows, I think he'll do very well in coloured classes.

Where I live, there's a small livery for four horses max, one of the previous guests, Ruby, was a tubby girl as well, and used to wear one of the grazing muzzles JSR recommends in the summer. But that's just how she was, and when she was shown (I must admit I know nothing about showing ponies/horses) she was marked down for being overweight.

no thats fine, yes he is, he was once a registered stallion who was only gelded last summer. look up 'Jubilee black prince' in youtube and if you put it in google, his pegigree comes up.


UPDATE-- we did not keep Archie as he just didnt seem 'right' we had him on a 2 week trial and he did nothing wrong but sister decided he just wasn't 'right'

lady was horrible when we gave him back and called my mum's friend some very nasty names!
