My friend went to un-rug the horses for me this morning & sent me this pic, what is it with greys??? His field mates are a bay & a chestnut, neither of them ever get into this much of a state! Last Friday I had to give him a thorough bath before I could put a saddle anywhere near him! Also looking at this pic it struck me that he looks to have dropped back a bit, best start feeding them some haylage, we still have loads of grass but there is no nutrition in it anymore.

I know the feeling. I have two coloureds, who I show, so poo stains are a big no no, so mine are rugged up to their ears all year round!!

Yeah, my boy (who is a Piebald) just loves the mud! I watch him in the field and he will scout around for a few moments to find a really dirty bit, paw at it for a while until the mud is really loose and spreads more, then just goes down for a major rolling session. I swear, I have a black and brown horse, not a black and white one lol.

The other half's mother has a grey almost white horse and with all the rain the other day she was more brown!

I know what you mean if we ever put our grey in the field with out his rug he comes in brown lol

what else i can say that a white horse is good quality breed and its cool to have the black also grey is not the perfect match .
