Glue on shoes

Has anyone ever used these kind of shoes? Am thinking of using them for my old mare who is retired and arthritic but getting footsore on the frozen ground. She can't hold her foot for the farrier, so any other ideas please?

Re: Glue on shoes

If you mean the ones called imprints, my friend has used them and while they were successful, they were worked out very expensive. Do you need shoes to ride her? If so, I have used Boa boots on my Section D mare and they were great.

Re: Glue on shoes

Hi thanks for replying, the imprint ones are for mor for remedial or laminitic use, and the boots would be no good for long term use. Shes a very old pony but has very slow hoof growth and on the hard ground is footsore. Hence looking at a glue on solution if I can.

Re: Glue on shoes

We had these put on Shrek because he had lammy but unfortunately it was too late and he had to be PTS. Dimby came down with Lammy for a short period last year. We kept a close eye on him and luckily with box rest he recovered and had no more out break. If he hadn't improved we would have had the shoes put on Dims as they do help lammy horses/ponies........ cost a lot of money though
