side affects of liquid ferterlizer??

hi guys all our 10 horses up our farm have a caugh and wet poo and one of the girls saw the farmer spraying ferterlizer in the fields about 2 months ago and again recenetly on the hay next to our field

what are the side affects of the liquid ferterlizer?

and why is the farmer spraying our horses fields? is it normal?

also thought id point out we havnt called the vet yet as our stables are all under cover in a barn with no airflow so we are not too sure if its because of the dust they are coughing so we have them out at moment to see if any improvement.

horses tend to cough when they are being ridden

I think I'd get the name of the fertilizer being sprayed, and call the vet for advice. Find out how many horses are showing the same symptoms, are they all in the same paddock, stable block etc. To try narrow down the cause.
