New Horse - nutrition & introducing a pasturemate?

I'm going to be taking on a mare who has never seen much regular work and has been living off of grass for most of her life. She's 17h, 9 years old, and she is in really good health. I don't want to be feeding her lots of grains - she has never needed them and I don't want to introduce a massive change to her digestive system, especially since she needs to lose some weight

Well if you can keep her on natural grass that will be ideal if not there are a handful of products on the market that you can feed her without affecting her diet.

I suggest Just Grass from Dodson & Horrell which is partial forage replacer and Fibergy also from Dodson & Horrell it can also be fed as a partial or total forage replacer.
